NEBB Whisky Barrels

Was founded in 2018 and is a South Australian based business that specialises in sourcing and seasoning American and French Oak barrels used to mature Australia red wines.

The company is owned and run by brothers, John and Michael Reeves. We are a generational South Australian family with deep connections to agriculture. We were brought up on a sheep and cattle farm in the South East of the State. Our family has links into the early settlement of the state, our great great grandfather was James Johnston, who with his brother were pioneers in brewing and wine making in this state. The family settled in Oakbank where they found a brewery in 1843 after emigrating from Scotland in 1839.

At NEBB Whisky Barrels we respect the need for customer confidentiality as part of the bespoke nature of our business.
